Square Enix has unveiled plans for the Dragon Quest 1 and 2 HD-2D Remake, confirming a release date of October 30, 2025. The compilation will be available across multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Pre-orders are now open.

The developer also teased upcoming titles in the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake franchise, marking the series’ legacy since its debut on May 27, 1986. The remakes aim to blend nostalgic pixel art with modern HD visuals, appealing to both longtime fans and new players.
